Digital journalism is about the news created through the means of digital media. It is gradually being integrated into broadcast journalism and traditional print. More and more people are relying on the news offered on the Internet. Watch How I Earn Money Online

Many people have asked me what is the secret to earning money online.
Learning how to make money online is one guaranteed way you can achieve freedom in your life without having to retire. If you believe it's easy though, think again!!
I was part of the daily grind up until the time I reached the age of 40. I was lucky to find a sales position at age 18 and steadily worked my way up the managerial ladder. I gave my life to the company and in return the company gave me a somewhat materialistic life. Even at the height of my success I used to dream of being free, to spend my days how I wanted but I was a slave to the job and the six figure salary. Life was good and so was the money but I would have to look at additional projects to achieve my goal of retiring at 50.
In 2008 my fit and healthy mum was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and my life was changed forever. I lived and worked in Sydney at the time and was having the time of my life having moved there from England a couple of years earlier. I felt truly helpless being so far away, so I quit, worked my notice and returned home to be with her.
As an only child losing my mum so young was hard to deal with but it was this event that taught me the greatest lesson. She taught me to live life now! I'd built up a pretty good CV during my career so I could have easily got a decent job and continued where I'd left off. I felt there was something more for me out there and I decided that the idea of working online from my laptop appealed to me.
Initially I looked at opportunities to make money from sports betting which turned out to be a total disaster. It sounds so simple but my lack of discipline and the amount of scammy betting systems in circulation lost me a significant amount of cash.
Placing a few bets was much easier than having to learn new skills about internet marketing. I signed up to lots of opportunities promising to teach me how to earn money online, I was a little overwhelmed by all this new information and in truth I struggled to apply it properly.
I was lucky to have a couple of mentors during my career and I needed one now. It's just difficult to find someone you can trust in the online world. I managed to scrape by for a few years, I had little cash but I was rich in other ways. I woke up when I wanted to and went to bed when I wanted to. My time was now my own, no motorways or deadlines to hit.
There were times when I never knew where my next income was coming from which was a little scary. Even so, I had exchanged material things like flash cars, watches, debt and houses for my freedom. It felt good!
In the early years it was like wading through a swamp, I tried and failed a lot. I rolled from one opportunity to another promising to make me bucket load of cash and delivering nothing. Either it was too hard for me to implement or it didn't work. All these failures served me well and earning money online is much easier and more consistent process these days.
My passion is in the natural health niche and I truly love what I do. By design we are prevented from fully understanding what nature can do for us. I bet you didn't know there are over 300 natural cancer cures out there hidden from us deliberately. Perhaps I'll touch on that in a future article. Today I'm earning money online using a portfolio of opportunities.
Some require no effort and some investment, some require a little investment and minimal work and some are free with effort required. If any of them run into trouble, my risk is spread so I will always have money coming in.
I have multiple opportunities on the go and still have the freedom I always dreamed of.
Opting out of the rat race has improved the quality of my life dramatically and I only make a fraction of the money I used to earn. I'm taking things at my own pace but be under no illusion that there is big money to be made if that's what floats your boat.
If my own online journey can help people avoid the traps and scams then it will be worth my effort and time. My advice is follow your dreams and do what you love!

Can You Really Make Passive Income?

A question I'm often asked is can I learn how to make passive income? This is how I personally make around 30% of my own income and I think it's something worth sharing.
Getting paid for doing nothing is like finding the holy grail. If you can make passive income it doesn't get much better in my opinion.
Some capital investment is usually required and earnings can be generated in a number of different ways.
It is vitally important to choose the right vehicle to generate your income. In the mainstream it could be bonds, stocks, shares, derivatives etc. You will soon be kissing goodbye to your capital if you make a poor choice.
Mainstream investments have little to offer me. The banking system is corrupt to the core with a massive scam being executed in plain sight. Today the Dollar and the Pound are just a couple of the dominant currencies that are not backed with any assets. An elite few who control the Bank of England and the Federal reserve print money out of thin air. I'm sure you've heard of quantitative easing right? When the bank bailouts happened it weren't helping people, it was helping elite bankers and corporations at the tax payers expense.
Think about it... Money is created out of thin air and is used to acquire hard assets. 1% of people own 75% of the planet we live on, how can that be right!
So for obvious reasons I prefer to look outside what the mainstream has to offer. Passive income opportunities can be found easily online. Some may require some minimal effort on your part. The internet is littered with the latest money-making schemes and it can certainly be a bit of a minefield especially if you're wanting to learn the secret of how to make passive income.
I've been online now for 7 years and in the very beginning it was tough. It's difficult to know who to trust because many con artists hide behind the computer screen ready to rob your cash. Performing effective due diligence can also be a challenge before committing yourself. The more transparent the opportunity the better and safer it is in my opinion.
I made mistake after mistake in the beginning because everything sounds so good when you read the blurb but in reality only a tiny fraction of the opportunities out there actually pay off.
Occasionally we find an opportunity that appears to work, but because we have lost money so many times before we procrastinate wondering if this is yet another scam. It's a difficult mindset to shift and to this day I still find myself having those thoughts today.
Money is secondary to me, Freedom is my number one priority. You can certainly use passive income to achieve freedom, however you may not achieve great wealth. You must also realise that if you make passive income it probably won't be enough to set you free. This is why the internet is fantastic! If you can make money using the web with your phone/laptop, you can do this from almost any location in the world.
This method of earning a living means you never need think about retiring because you have all the freedom you desire.
Having multiple streams of online income is crucial to your success. This protects us should the unexpected happen and one or two opportunities fail.
That's called being smart and not having all your eggs in one basket.

I Provide customer service and support for a company in the Natural Health Space.
I earn Affiliate income promoting products in Natural health space.
I use a Sports Trading Investment which provides me with a totally passive income.
I use a Sports Betting service to provide me with an income for an hours effort per week.
I work with an online paid advertising company which takes a maximum of a couple of hours per week.
I'm learning new web marketing skills using a company that's trains me for free.
With these varied income streams I have all the freedom I want. Every business I'm involved with is online meaning I can use my laptop or mobile phone to do business.
I may have been a high flyer during my career but on the web I would definitely be classed as a plodder. I think documenting my own online experiences proves anyone can make money online, providing you do what you love and choose the right opportunities. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and anyone can follow my personal journey as it happens.

The FASTEST Way To Earn Your First $10K a Month Online (The 3 Rules That Will Change Your Life)

What does the world REALLY want from You? What would your days be like if you could truly get up in the morning and do what you LOVED for a living? How much more connected would you feel to your sense of power and purpose if you were able to turn your life's PASSION into perpetual piles of profit, while truly never really "working" a day ever again?

The biggest income jump in my own business was really easy to trace. About 7 years ago, I had a very popular blog and very little income. People seemed to really enjoy my blog posts... but I find it super difficult to monetize my audience in any meaningful way, without resorting to a lot of the silliness, or the gimmicks, gadgets and unethical ideas that many of the "gurus" were using to earn income.
One day, I turned all of my written content into a course... or "curriculum". I looked at the content that had the most comments, and the most credibility with my existing community and simply structured it in a way that made it salable. I added chapters, some additional thoughts, a few case studies... a little bit of audio explanation, and I had my first Course.
I sent an email to the exact people who had already consumed this content in the past, (my blog community) and offered a "greatest hits" version of what I considered my best content for $67. (they also got audio recordings and a few case studies to follow as well)
My first day of sales was about $5k, just from the PDF alone. (more money than I had made in the previous 2 months on advertising and affiliate sales from the very same blog)
Rule #2: Codify your curriculum into group coaching
I then took the same content, and created a 20 person private community coaching environment. I recorded calls, sent out email updates and did I live audio event that featured Q and A on the very same material. The 20 spots sold in one day, and were priced at $297, for approximately another 6K in revenue.
Rule #3: Convert your Course into private coaching, too!
Lastly, I offered a very personal, unlimited coaching program for 30 days, where I'd work with a maximum of 3 people by email on their specific blog, brand and business challenges. I priced this at $1497, emailed all of the people who had bought the course but NOT the group coaching, and 3 people signed up for this as well. This added another $4500 in income in under 48 hours.
The truth is, you can rinse, repeat and scale this strategy in just about every niche, market or industry under the sun. There are even MORE low end opportunities to enter the PROFITABLE content marketing stream with Amazon eBooks as well. You can use this approach to either precede my step 1 above, or use it AS step 1 above, and include links in your low cost books to your other offers, which is also very effective and quite market tested for success.
The truth is, re-purposing your content is fun, fast and often FREE... and can be a great way of quickly, easily and ethically converting your content into a community of clients, and all on a bootstrap budget as well!
