Do You Let Stress Spoil Your Day

Anticipation of events can make our stomach churn, our hands shake our hearts race and we feel jittery. Sometimes we anticipate something good like a holiday or Christmas other times it is something like an interview or hospital appointment or visit to the dentist where the results could be good of bad our tension is pretty much the same.
Some people are said to "live on their nerves" and live in a state of tension all the time, like a spring stretched to maximum. They never know the peace and contentment of feeling relaxed. They never "go with the flow".

Worry, either real or imagined; they are anticipating something bad could happen. This might be at work where they never feel quite in control of what they are expected to do, like starting a new job, but they feel it as an ongoing situation. Other people worry about everything, world events, wars, floods, viruses on the other side of the planet and everything that could possibly go wrong.
If this sounds like you, stop now and realise you are alive and breathing but you are not living. It's an interesting topic to delve into, and I think you'll discover that what you previously considered "good customer service" might not be good enough any more.

For newsletter publishers, good customer service is made up of several parts. Firstly, there is the part that you're (hopefully) already doing. You're hitting your deadlines on time and you are ensuring your newsletters are reaching your subscribers on time each month. You're proofreading your work. You're answering emails politely. And you're acting in a professional manner. Then there are the things that are less concrete, but which can really make your customer say, "Wow! They're fantastic!" Obviously, the work you turn in must be flawless, but try to keep all aspects of your business orderly. Invoice on time and without errors, and write grammatically correct emails.
4. Avoid being over-familiar.
Generally, there is still a difference between a client and a really close friend so make sure your correspondence and phone calls remain professional. Eventually, you might become close enough to exchange family stories and pepper your emails with a 'LOL' or emojis, but let them make the first move in that direction.
5. Don't make excuses.
Your client doesn't need to know (and doesn't care) that you can't make your deadline because your toddler is sick or your spouse lost his/her job. Simply ask for an extension if necessary, and leave out the details.

If you haven't worked with a client in a while, why not drop an email just to see how their business is going? You're not asking for work here, so don't make it an "is there anything I can help with" email. 7. Keep your client informed about upgrades.
If you do WordPress designs, a quick email to your list about important upgrades or new functionality lets your customers know you are focused on your industry. Add clients to your autoresponder to make this easier.

Not only will it make your customers happy, but it will earn you more work as well!
9. Remember them on their birthdays and on holidays.
Even a short email to say 'Happy Birthday' is appreciated.
10. Send thank-you cards.
A hand-written note of thanks is a fantastic way to make a good impression.

11. If you mess up, own up to it.
Trying to place blame elsewhere only makes you look worse. If your mistake costs your customer money, it's your responsibility as a service provider to cover that expense - or at least offer to.

Why Should You Be A Good People-Person?

Where do you fit in? Are you 'good with people'? This is perhaps one of the most important characteristics of any business person. If you own a business but you're not a people person, you might want to think about following the advice from ex hair-stylist and now world-renowned Internet copywriter Alan Forrest Smith:

Think about it: would you rather do business with someone who is pleasant or someone who is unpleasant? It's human nature to choose the more likable person, and most people will do exactly that.
Further to this, maybe it's no surprise that among the qualifications for almost any job is 'must be good with people'. Most employers know that an individual who has the ability to make others feel good about themselves is one of the most valuable assets they can have. Whether the job is sales, management, customer relations or waiter/waitress etc, the person who is 'good with people' generally will be recommended for an early promotion, given more choices and job assignments in the work place or moved up the corporate ladder long before anyone else.
If you aren't a good people person, then you really should try to become one. The success of your business depends on it.

Awaken Your Giant Within and Achieve Your Dreams

Do you believe you can do everything you really desire if you want it badly enough. Are you prepared to do whatever it takes to achieve your dreams? This is why there are experts in every fields, they were prepared to!

Also a few years ago I decided to set up an online business, despite my families disbelief, as I could hardly send email, a total novice. I also decided to winter in the sun, I am now doing both.
So you too can turn your doubts into beliefs and achieve your dreams. First decide what you really want and visualise daily, make a plan how and when it will happen. Visualise the completed dream and be sure you are happy with the expected outcome. Then dwell on your dream with increasing anticipation knowing it is possible. As your subconscious believes you really want it, it will guide you to achieve it.
You may want to start an online business or it could be a way of funding your dream. Either way it could be an exciting hobby that can be very fulfilling. With your laptop you can work anywhere.

The Right Mentality For A Successful Online Home Business

When I first decided to take the plunge and start my own online home business, I had all the wrong ideas. I had seen all the "businesses in a box" with their advertising hype such as, "make over a thousand dollars a week with a four-hour work week sitting at your kitchen table in your pajamas" and the like. So I thought I could just get a domain name, set up a web site, and then pretty much let my business run itself on autopilot. I suppose you could call it the "Field of Dreams" mentality - that "if you build it, they will come." Now I realize that I was setting myself up for failure with that way of thinking. I have learned that, to be successful with an online home business, you need to have a certain kind of businesslike mindset.
First, you need self-discipline. You're going to work your tail off sometimes. You're going to have days when you're staying up late and getting up early. There will be times when you have no idea how it's all going to get done. And your new business is not going to start throwing money at you overnight. You should expect to be working long, often boring hours, especially when you are first starting your online business. Most online entrepreneurs work over 50 hours a week, especially when they are first establishing their business. At least 20 of those hours are devoted to marketing their business. These new business owners realize that they can't just sit back and wait for their customers to beat a path to their door. They have to be where their customers are - on search engines, forums, blogs, email, and social media.
This need for marketing know-how leads into a second point - you need business management knowledge and skills. If you don't already have those skills and knowledge, you may need to take classes, get advice, and educate yourself. An online business is still a business, and all the same business principles that apply to a brick-and-mortar firm also apply to an online enterprise. You need to understand profit and loss and how each is measured. You need to know how to use the various marketing tools, both online and offline. You need some understanding of business law. You need to be able to set up a business plan and make good business decisions.
Having an online business can be very rewarding. Being your own boss using your own computer in the comfort of your own home can certainly be a dream come true. Just don't expect it to happen easily. Be prepared to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes.

Why You Shouldn't Use Jiff on Plaster!

I learned something the other day, in fact, I learned two things when we were talking to a neighbour. She told us the air pressure when travelling on aircraft affects a plaster cast, it tightens it and therefore restricts flying. You may think this was a strange conversation, but a few weeks ago I fractured my kneecap and she knew we would shortly be returning to England.
As it happens we will be driving, so there shouldn't be a problem I may be a "Hop Along Cassidy" on the stairways on the ferry, but I guess I'll manage. She was also telling us about the time she broke her arm, (what morbid conversations), and because the cast became dirty she used "Jiff" to clean it. It looked pristine, but when it was time to remove it the nurse couldn't cut it even with the cutting tool usually used and the doctor had to come to the rescue, the Jiff had hardened the plaster! So be warned cleanliness can be taken too far.
Today was my trip to the specialist, I was hoping to have my cast removed, but I have to wait another week. However good news, I hear the bones have healed and all is well.
When the nurse was replacing the splint cast and re-bandaging I caught sight of my wizened leg, it appeared to be made of plastic or leather, the texture was really odd. How strange your skin becomes when it doesn't see the light of day for several weeks. The muscles too seem to have disappeared, so what with a flabby tummy from sitting on the sofa 24/7 and a wizened leg I'm not a pretty sight. I will have to do some serious exercise to get back in shape as soon as my cast is removed.
Well we still have sunshine here in Spain and we will soon be able to visit the beaches again, and also the family will be over for Easter. I am so lucky my internet business allows me the freedom to work anywhere, or I would have gone out of my mind with boredom these last weeks.
I have been able to precariously balance my laptop in my lap and continue with my business. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have an internet business, something that gives you time freedom both in time and location. A business you can start part-time and grow over the months ahead. My business gives me great satisfaction watching it grow and seeing what I have achieved despite the family's scepticism.
So if an online business is your dream too, you can do it! It is low-cost to set-up. From experience I would say enlist the guidance of a good mentor who will provide excellent products sales pages and training, which will allow you to start earning generous commissions whilst you are learning the techniques. Don't try to source everything yourself whilst you are just starting, it will be much slower to start earning. Take advantage of the expertise of your mentor and work to a proven plan.
