The necessary equipment like computers or the software needed to be connected online was very costly and only the top companies were able to fund the luxury of being online. In just a few years the scenario has totally flipped over as we now come to terms with the fact that digital lifestyle is the new way of life. With online connection progressing from stationary desktops to all kinds of mobile devices and the cost of having an internet connection that is fast and reliable continuously becoming more competitive, there can be no denying that the new world is that of artificial intelligence.
In my time of writing this I am made aware through a Neilsen survey that all mobile device users spend 30% of their time on social media. Now consider the proven research from IBISWorld that the top "trending" industries are all online and marking some incredible growth rate.
  • It is said that the industry of social games has the highest potential with a registered growth rate of over 180% in just the last 5 years.

  • What about business management meetings? Well, they aren't happening in a brick and mortar room anymore. That old method of working is slowly phasing out as we see more and more companies creating virtual teams from all around the world thus increasing the potential growth for virtual data rooms which according to records comes in at second place.

  • The third place according to IBISWorld is handed over to Online Shoe sales( my favorite) and rightly so.. The online business of shoe wear is growing tremendously each year with an average estimate of 16%. Suffice it to say, the shoe industry folks have got a handle on this digital lifestyle thing.
With just that little example, the facts scream loudly enough that online visibility equals business visibility, which as we know translates to a healthy business.

Stop Learning!

All of us, embark on a journey of learning this business, Internet Marketing. There is indeed, a lot to be learned, blogging, article marketing, search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, video marketing, email marketing, how to build websites and how to set up an autoresponder, the list goes on...
So at what stage do we stop learning and start doing? We feel that we have to know everything there is to know regarding a particular topic. This is partly due to lack of confidence in our ability, and the fear of failure. Somehow, we all feel that if we learn as much as we can about a topic, we are arming ourselves against failure. Obviously, we all need to know the topic at hand, fairly well, but there is a distinct difference between knowing your topic and knowing everything about your topic.
When we embark on our learning journey, we tend to get so involved with everything that we think is required learning, that we actually forget to take action, or worse still, keep procrastinating on taking action. Unlike going to school or college, where a particular course has a start and end date, Internet Marketing does not. As a result, we keep learning and never get to graduate!
It is almost impossible to learn everything there is to know about a chosen topic. If we keep this in mind, we can then, give ourselves permission to take action sooner. We all need to realize, that learning is a process bought about by action. Often, once action has been taken, we realize that, it is this action that propels us forward to bigger and better things.
The learning process needs to therefore, be broken up into smaller sections. Firstly, determine how much we actually need to know to take action, and then implement what has been learned. How we determine how much information we actually need to know, is different for each person, but if we keep in mind to just learn the basics, this will go a long way to stopping this learning cycle, that we often find ourselves in. Implementation will not only, get us moving forward towards our goals, but also give us the confidence that we are desperately seeking.
Fortunately, the Internet Marketing business model, is very low risk. Unlike most 'brick and mortar' businesses where there is a huge financial investment, the internet is the best and cheapest place to fail. Perhaps, it is partly because of this, that we do not put a time limit on ourselves, to start recovering our initial investment.

Are These The 7 Secrets to Success?

Probably everyone has their own theories of success, these are what I think bring you success:
Being in the right place at the right time - so an element of luck perhaps?
Knowing what you want.
Not being afraid to ask for what you need.
Making a detailed plan of action, and sub-goals step by step.

Know the end result, if not all the steps and visualize daily.
Believe in yourself and never give up.
However there are a couple of ingredients before you begin, you should be passionate about your dream and have a burning desire to achieve it otherwise you are unlikely to persevere until the end result.
You must really, really want your dream. If it isn't important you will give up when you hit a hurdle. That is probably why charities do well, people involved have a burning desire to achieve the charity's aim.
You also need the support of those around you if you are part of a family, or your relationships could suffer if you appear hell-bent on pursuing your dream at their expense. Many people have dreams, but most let them wither and die, whether through lack of energy, enthusiasm, persistence or commitment. So if you have a dream and all the above apply you are likely to be a driven person, where to you achievement are a great satisfaction.
If you can achieve your dream and keep your loved ones happy you are all in for a big adventure. So discover your dream and set sail.
I'm living two of my dreams: wintering in Spain where the days are sunny and warm and building a hobby business with affiliate marketing. I chose affiliate marketing because out of all the internet business I looked at it seemed the simplest.

Ad Blocker software doesn't care about your terms and conditions, or how hard you work to create your content. In the process of blocking your ads, it messes up your Google Analytics tracking - and it leaves you guessing.

Uncloaking the Ad Blocker Data
Ad Blockers are definitely not as invisible as they might like to think. Of course, that's not really their primary goal anyway. We'll tell you, step by step, how to copy-paste a little piece of JavaScript code to better understand your ad blocking traffic.
We're going to give you detailed configuration instructions. We'll also explain how to understand your new Google Analytics data. So what's the end result?
  • You'll know what percentage of your visitors are using ad blockers
  • You'll be able to determine the impact it has on your Ad revenue
It's kind of a big deal. Ad blocking cost publishers an estimated $22 billion during 2015. Usage grew by 41% worldwide in the last year. Gulp.
First Things First - Your Prerequisites
To use this strategy, your site must have both Google Analytics and Google AdSense installed.

What does the JavaScript code do?
This isn't a coding tutorial, so we won't bore you to death with any more technical complexity than needed. It's just a bit of really smart JavaScript. Here is what is happening step by step:
  1. Wait for the page to load, and then check to see if Google Analytics successfully loaded.
  2. If GA loaded JavaScript, then it is working, so check to see if your Google AdSense loaded too.
  3. Send some data to your Google Analytics account to indicate whether the ad was blocked or not.
If your pages load up and your Google Analytics is doing what it's supposed to do, you check your AdSense.
And if AdSense doesn't load? Then we can reasonably infer that it was prevented from loading by an ad blocker. Busted!
That's it. Some slick code using some smart logic to segment the users that are ad blocking and those who are not. Then it sends this information into Google Analytics for your to review.
A single line of code tells Google Analytics to store an event for us. That event tells us whether we detected the ad blocked or not. That's it.

2. Be consistent: Post regularly and keep your information up to date, you could offer a discount or a free download. Set yourself a time limit every day to market your product. Use e.ggtimer this is a fantastic tool enabling you not to lose track of time, it rings a bell every 25 minutes so you can stop and move onto something else.
3. Get Help - If like me you have limited savings and couldn't afford to pay for help use online tutorials from YouTube. Google and YouTube anything and everything you need to know But be careful. I found that some YouTube videos are out of date especially when trying to keep up with the changes that some companies IE Facebook make (it feels like every 5 minutes) It is incredibly frustrating when you try and compare what's on your screen to what you are looking at on the YouTube video.
4. Provide an opt-in button: Make it easy for your customers to opt-in to your emails or subscribe to your site. If a viewer subscribes to your site then they are more likely to buy from you.
5. Track: It's important to know who is buying your product and what they are buying. Analysis your website traffic, the number of opt-ins and percentage of viewers you who convert to customers.
