Competitors worry both new online home business owners and seasoned business owners equally. Remember that competition is a good thing. It means there are people who want those products and services that you're selling. Do some research to see who your competition are stay updated of how they change and develop. You don't want to stress about your competition everyday, but it's important to review them every 3 to 6 months.
2. What's Your Unique Selling Proposition?
Every successful online home business will have a Unique Selling Proposition or USP. What do you do better or differently to your competition that provides value and benefit to your audience. Start to position yourself in your niche as the go to person for that particular benefit that you offer.
3. Evaluate and Review Your Competitors
Learn as much you can about your competitors. What products or services do they sell? How do they conduct business. Now how could your online home business do it better or different? Don't obsess about your competition. However, it's a good idea to develop an analysis system to review your competition and what they are doing.
4. What Are Your Competitors' Primary Keywords?
You can find the target keywords that your competitors using the Google Keyword External tool. Log into the keyword tool and enter your competitor's internet address. You can review all of their associated keywords. You can then target these keywords for your online home business.
5. Follow Your Competitors On Social Media
Make the effort to subscribe to your competitors blog and newsletter and follow their social media posts. This will enable you to collect information and facts about them. Sometimes, your competition's activities and content material on social media sites can be beneficial to you. Their actions might stimulate you to with new content idea, product or service.
